If you have multiple listings within the same place, like one for a private room and another for the entire place, it can be especially difficult to make sure a double booking never happens.
Before this update, it could be tricky to stay on top of the availability of each space. In this article, we’ll explain how to make use of the new “link rooms” feature so you can make sure to never get a double booking. With this new feature, it is easy to make sure that when a reservation is made for the entire place, the dates will also be blocked on the private room’s calendar. Likewise, when a reservation is made for a single room, the whole house is blocked while any other single room listings remain open.

How to Link Rooms
1. Go to your Host Tools account and select “Settings.”
2. From the “Settings” screen, find the listing for the whole property, and click the “Settings” button next to it.
3. Scroll down and select “Advanced.”
4. Choose the individual listings from the drop-down menu under “link rooms.”
5. Save!
Now a booking in the whole property listing will block out all the individual rooms; a booking in an individual room will block out the whole property listing but will leave the other individual room listing open.
