Integrate Your Listing with More Airbnb Smart Locks
At Host Tools, we strive to bring you the best options for your Airbnb smart lock needs. We have offered support for August for quite some time. Check out this article to see how to connect your August account directly with Host Tools.This integration has been one of our user’s favorite features.
We have now completed our integration with Seam.co so that you can now connect August, Schlage, Yale, SmartThings, Nuki, TTLock, Kwikset, and Igloo Home locks for $3/month per connected lock.
By leveraging these integrations with Airbnb smart locks, Host Tools is helping make managing your short-term rental listing easier and more secure.
How to Connect an Airbnb Smart Lock to Host Tools
- Click on your profile photo in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click on “Settings”
- Scroll down to “Smart Locks”
- Click “Link Account”

To connect an August account click the “Connect” button next to August.

To connect any lock that Seam supports click the “Connect” button next to Seam. Seam allows us to automate Schlage, Yale, SmartThings, Nuki, TTLock, Kwikset, and Igloo Home locks.

Once you have linked a Smart Lock account, you still need to link a lock to your listing in order to start automatically setting codes.

Cost of Airbnb Smart Locks
If you connect an August lock through the August integration there is no additional fee per lock. However, if you are connecting a lock through Seam.co, then there is a $3/month fee per connected lock.
For example, if one lock is linked to multiple listings, you are charged for one lock. On the other hand, if you have three locks connected to one listing, you will be charged for three locks per month. Each unique lock is charged $3/month.
Lock Settings
You can now click on the “settings” button next to a lock to edit the lock’s name, add a buffer to check-in or check-out, and edit how many digits a guest’s code is.
